I am a Principal Clinical Neuropsychologist who works in both the NHS and private practice. I have 12-years of experience working in NHS psychology and neuropsychology services, including inpatient neurorehabilitation, stroke rehabilitation and community neuropsychology. I have a professional interest in delivering high-quality neuropsychological assessments. In my NHS role I am responsible for delivering a neuropsychological assessment clinic, training rehabilitation staff on delivering cognitive screening assessments, and delivering neuropsychological interventions. I have been awarded grants from NHS England to develop innovate ways to improve neurorehabilitation services.

In 2017 I completed a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology at the University of Plymouth, and I am registered with the British Psychological Society (BPS) as a Chartered Clinical Psychologist and with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). In 2021 I completed specialist training in Clinical Neuropsychology at the University of Bristol, and I am a Member of the BPS's Specialist Register of Clinical Neuropsychologists. I provide supervision to prospective clinical neuropsychologists who are completing their specialist neuropsychology training, and I am an external examiner on the University of Bristol’s MSc in Clinical Neuropsychology. I provide regular lecturing at the University of Plymouth, Cardiff University and University of West England on psychometrics and neuropsychological assessment.

I have completed the British Psychological Society’s Essential knowledge for the expert witness: Full programme.

I have an academic interest in improving neuropsychological assessments. I have worked on numerous research projects seeking to develop novel tests of performance validity and improve neuropsychological assessment with technology. I am the recipient of a large research grant from the National Institute of Health Research (£445,111) which seeks to develop new computerised cognitive assessments for preclinical Alzheimer’s disease, and validate it against neuroimaging and plasma biomarkers.
