Cognitive and Intellectual Assessment

Cognitive Assessments are used to determine an individual’s overall levels of intelligence (IQ) and to identify any areas of intellectual strengths or weaknesses (including verbal skills, numerical skills, non-verbal reasoning, working memory and processing speed abilities).

This assessment can be particularly useful when there are concerns relating to an individual’s intellectual ability or the presence of a specific learning disability, and recommendations for reasonable adjustments are required.

Dr Murphy provides cognitive and intellectual assessments for adults (aged 18+) in Plymouth and the South West Peninsula.

He has experience providing cognitive assessments to parents undergoing pre-court proceedings for Family Court.
